Jewish Family & Children’s Service
Overview: Finding a job in today’s economy is hard. One needs a solid experience, references and contacts to get a foot in the door. Finding a job is that much harder if one has a developmental disability. This issue of job placement and vocational training has been part of Nancy’s social crusade. Nancy has advocated and supported organizations that address the critical service of vocational training for people with disabilities. Nancy’s interest in the area has led the foundation to support JF&CS’s CHAI Works program, which supports those with disabilities through skill building, job development and job coaching, and by building and maintaining employer relationships. Furthermore, the foundation supports CHAI, an independent living program for those with disabilities.
